How is coverage triggered?
- Closure of a insured premises by a "public health official"
- Closure must be on or emanating from your operational premises scheduled on the policy
- Closure must be caused by a covered contagion
Coverage Enhancements
- OUTBREAKSM Extra Expense covers closure of your premises caused by a workplace violence incident. Closure may be affected by law enforcement or other official. Coverage applies for a maximum of five days.
What is excluded?
OUTBREAKSM Extra Expense does not respond to general quarantine orders. The policy is premises specific and per above, the closure must be on or emanating from your premises.
- Geographic or Industry shutdowns that are not caused by a public health official or a covered contagion that does not originate or emanate from your operational premises are not covered by this policy.
- While Outbreak Extra Expense responds to a wide variety of contagions and communicable diseases, some examples of excluded contagions include: Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers, Anthrax, Sarin, and Smallpox. See policy for complete details.
